Make Prevention Efforts Equal To Response Efforts
The Fort Wayne Fire Department should make a public statement that prevention is an equal priority with our efforts toward fire suppression. As there is an Assistant Chief in charge of fire suppression, there is also one in charge of Fire Prevention. Every individual on the Fort Wayne Fire Department is involved and dedicated to efforts of fire prevention.

The new position of Assistant Chief of Prevention will over see Fire Prevention Division, Safety Village, along with Investigation Division. This staff will provide research as well as develop and present a variety of programs concerning fire safety.
